Removing QuickBooks Update Agent

- Open windows start menu and click on “All Programs” and then select “Startup”.
- Apply right click on “QuickBooks Update Agent” and select “Delete”.
- Click on Delete shortcut.
- In your QuickBooks Disable Updates.
- Open Help menu and then click on Update QuickBooks.
- Now click on the Options tab.
- Select-No in option for Share Download.
- Click on close at the end.
- Close QuickBooks application on your computer.
- Apply right click on QuickBooks icon.
- Choose properties from the dropdown menu.
- Click the open file location.
- Now when you are inside QuickBooks file folder find the reboot.bat file.
- Apply right click on reboot.bat and then click on “ Run as Administrator.
- Running reboot.bad as an administrator is compulsory.
- CMD window will appear and process you file components.
- Once CMD prompt process is completed restart your computer.
Repairing QuickBooks From Setup
- Before starting the procedure close QuickBooks software.
- Press the window key on your keyboard while on Desktop.
- In the search bar type control panel.
- Search and open the control panel.
- Once Control panel is open see that it on large icon mode.
- Find Programs and features, click open it.
- Now from the list of programs find QuickBooks and select it.
- Click on “ Uninstall/Change”.
- Now proceed by clicking next.
- Again click next and select the option for repair.
- Now, wait for the process to complete.

If Intuit ProSeries is being used
- In windows task manager look for- “qbpsevntXXr.exe”.
- Launch QuickBooks File Explore.
- Find and open the folder for “ Intuit Pro Series”. The usual location of this file- C:\ProWinXX.
- Open the folder that is specified for 32-bit.
- Search for a file that is named qbpsevntXXr.exe. Apply right click on it and right “old” at the end of the file name.
